Charles Castronovo plays the title character, an elderly scholar who despite his success remains dissatisfied and restless. When the demonic Mphistophls Ildar Abdrazakov appears and lures Faust into signing a deal that will return him to his youthful state in exchange for his services in Hell using the tempting image of a young woman, Marguerite Vasilij Ladjuk, Faust accepts. Now transformed into a handsome young man, Faust sets out to find the entrancing young woman with the treacherous Mphistophls in tow.
