Live performance of Shakespeare's disputed comedy recorded at the Globe Theatre in London. The Duke Dominic Rowan, reluctant to wield his power to clean up the city leaves, transferring the responsibility to his deputy, Angelo Kurt Egyiawan. Vienna is a hovel for brothels and promiscuous behaviour.
Young Claudio Joel MacCormack finds himself afoul of an ancient law when he gets his love Juliet Naana Agyei-Ampadu pregnant. Angelo soon starts implementing harsh and radical changes. Angelo sentences him to death for his crime of fornicating out of wedlock.
Claudio's friends Lucio Brendan O'Hea and Froth Dennis Herdman meet with Claudio's sister Isabella Mariah Gale and plead with her to change Angelo's mind. Thus begins a plot of intrigue and mistaken identity.
