Photographer Nina Mosley Nia Long vows that she will not become involved in another relationship after she is jilted by her fianc Marvin Cox. When Darius Lovehall Larenz Tate dedicates a poem to her on stage at a club called the Sanctuary, she is attracted to him but initially refuses to go on a date.
